Research that drives progress

Innopharma is a multidisciplinary and trans-departmental group with over 25 years of experience. Based at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), our team works across two main areas, Cellular Biology and Pharmacology, being our research topics:

  • Membrane biochemistry and signal transduction, largely applied to neurological and psychiatric studies.
  • Identification of targets and biomarkers for psychiatric treatment in schizophrenia.
  • Proteomic study of platelet signaling for cardiovascular disease.
  • Development of new HTS techniques.
  • Implementation of IT for continuous training of healthcare professionals.

Innopharma’s R&I combines and is nurtured by cutting-edge applied science research, making a significant impact on the quality of biomedical research. Alongside our independent projects, we maintain a strong track record of collaborative research with academic institutions, biotech firms, and the pharmaceutical industry.
